Ward 21

Ward 21

Australian Facility for Taphonomic Experimental Research

This project is my final project as part of the Master’s of architecture program. For our final year we are asked to take on an elective project where we design our own brief, find our own site and find our own client. The project must be grounded in reality, it must be a project that someone would be willing to pay for and it must be realistic and deal with real world constraints and issue.

For this project I decided the take on the ‘body farm’ a new research facility studying human decomposition that the University of Technology Sydney are opening in January 2016 based on the success of similar facilities in the USA. Click on the images below to view the progress of the project over the course of the year.
